We returned home this evening after an awesome week in Mesa with sister Margie Gilbert and BIL Jim. Visited the folks memorial site in Lost Dutchman State Park beneath the Praying Hands in the Superstition Mountains. Drove up the Apache Trail to Tortilla Flats for ice cream and people watching. Monday we went to the Musical Instrument Museum - MIM mim.org/ for the day. We spent 5 hours and need to go back to finish up our visit, too much to take in in one visit, next time!! Tuesday was a Cubs game at the new park in Mesa, top notch stadium, good game till the end when things fell apart. Next day Karen and I drove up to Sedona and did some hiking and sight seeing, stayed overnight and returned to Mesa Thursday afternoon. One evening Jim and I setup his big telescope and he showed us Jupiter and Mars along with some close ups of some constellations that were amazing. We spent a lot of time just relaxing and enjoying each others company and conversations. Will miss picking our daily grapefruit and oranges, waking up to the Doves and Nightingales, shaving on the patio every morning with a cup of java! So its back to reality here in the Great White North, I coined that term with tongue in cheek, a bit of humor that relates to a slip of the tongue a local news anchor made this winter! More pics to come later.
