We were called out this afternoon by Hammond Police Dept to a residence in Hammond on an animal cruelty case. Upon arriving at the house, the 2 dogs were found living in these conditions. Both dogs were surrendered by the owner, depending on the results from the vets office further charges could be pending. Both dogs are safe, warm, and fed here at the shelter. Thank you Hammond PD for enforcing the animal cruelty laws in our city.
