We were in the backyard taking a break from removing plaster, when a car stopped. The older lady in the passenger seat said she grew up in our house back in the fifties. She told us all kinds of neat stuff, like the woods was still across the street and the Deep Fork ran at the base of the hill. But the most interesting part was when she said the FBI came here in the fifties and asked to go up in the attic, which they did. She said they spent about an hour up there and then left. We are now dying to get up in the attic and hunt around. Its not an easy thing to do, because the attic access is blocked at the moment, but since the ceiling is coming down, I guess well know soon enough. The woman said her mother dug around up there for two days looking but found nothing either. A mystery! I feel a story coming on.
