Week Ahead Weather Forecast for East Yorkshire and Ryedale Hurricane Gonzalo crossed Bermuda then clipped Newfoundland on cue (Sun morning). At midnight the remnants were around 1100 miles to the west of us and will cross the Hebrides heading NE tonight bringing rain and strong winds to all parts of Britain with gusts up to 70 mph in the west. Mon: A cloudy start with patchy rain, becoming brighter with sunny intervals and a few showers. Tues: Wet and windy weather arriving by dawn with gusts to 55 mph. Becoming brighter with sunny intervals and isolated squally showers. Winds peaking late afternoon or early evening with 60 mph possible. Wed: Lighter winds, dry with sunny spells. Thurs: Dry and mild with sunny intervals. Fri: Mostly cloudy with the chance of a little patchy rain Sat/Sun: Dry and mild with a few bright or sunny intervals.
