Well I have been on the internet for the last 3 to 6 months like a man possessed, reading every article watching power point presentations, researching economics and history, I feel I have done my leg work to make an informed decision. I attempted to do this by reading all articles and listening to all opinions, to pull facts out from behind all the propaganda from source information. It will be no surprise to people which way I am voting but I feel I have gave it the focus it deserves to make that decision well. I have yet to find a genuine reason to vote NO! A Yes vote will not bring a utopia to Scotland but I believe it will give us the tools we need to move towards a fairer society, instead of a society where the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. It will also make the politicians in charge within Scotland accountable to the Scots and if they don’t perform we can remove them in the next general election, WE DO NOT HAVE THE POWER TO DO THIS AT THE MOMENT. The main message from better together are you can’t afford it, you are safer within the United Kingdom and it could be a disaster for Scotland to go independent. Including some talk about extra powers under a guaranteed timetable. Facts, 1, No individual party can offer you GUARANTEED extra powers. (Reasons) • This is not policy yet and has to be voted through the houses of parliament (who are already saying they wont vote for it). • They don’t know who will be in power in Westminster or in what form (coalition or not). • Cross party politics (no offer the same) Just look at the countless manifesto promises that all parties make but cant deliver on for one reason or another (Lib Dems). 2, We are too poor: Simply not true by any measure, cant make you watch it but this presentation is the best and I have several more sources including having looked at the figures from source, also if you look at any neutral reporting external to this country we are seen as quite a wealthy wee country. https://youtube/watch?v=1W8cKHcZn60 https://m.facebook/story.php?story_fbid=592472827527934&id=100002956673584&_rdr https://facebook/video.php?v=10202639837977316&set=vb.1238705603&type=2&theater businessforscotland.co.uk/revealed-the-accounting-trick-that-hides-scotlands-wealth/ 3 Disaster if we go independent, this is simply an outrageous claim, if history is ever a measure to go by (and it is) there hasn’t been a country in the last 100 years which has left a union or came out from under the wing of an empire, with out conflict, that has been the proposed disaster pedalled to you by the NO camp, it simply hasn’t happened (research other countries which have gained their independence). Scotland by every measure going is in a great position to become independent, when compared to other nations, which have carried it out successfully (all of them) we actually kick most butts. 4 Safer with in the UK, simply not true any one who has actually looked into the economics of the UK will tell you it’s a disaster, we currently have the second biggest National debt in the world, Westminster both Labour and the Tories have ran this country into the ground, if you just look in detail you will find this to be true (not London its doing well funny that). Whatever happens we need to accept it, but in my mind it will be tragic if we don’t seize this moment, It s a chance of a lifetime My question will you you be Scotland the Brave.
