Well I learned something this morning. My guests were from BC and needed a 1 to 3 day non-resident license for the day. I took them to a WDFW vendor and guess what: they would not and could not sell them a 1-3 day temporary. It seems the state has a law that temporary licenses are not valid and can not be sold from the lake opener, this year it is today April 26, through the following 8 days. So I could not take them fishing. I felt like a fool because I had no idea there was such a law. Sorry Rob. I checked the fishing regulations afterward and found no mention of it in the LICENSE section - pages 6 & 7. Seems to me, WDFW Hunting & Fishing regs are not only confusing they are down right ridiculous.
