Well done tonight at the wing meeting and fight after! We got formed up in Delta Canopsis as usual, had a few announcements, some well-deserved promotions, then moved out to give a hand in Vido. Just a few Cylons there, who we and other Colonials sent packing quite quickly, then it was on to Caliban, where the op lasted less than one circle around it with our carriers raining the long-range cannon pain and our lines smothering it with missiles. At Muninn, the Cylons made their stand with carriers and a fleet of their own. We worked our squads around them, constantly on the move and keeping them under fire so they could never find a safe location or launch an effective counter attack. Several times full squads did suicide runs on Shels, which sometimes got the kill, but always at the cost of their entire attacking force - hardly a good trade off. After several circuits about the op killing everything in range and penning the Cylons in, the carriers switched their attention to the plats, rapidly knocking out two heavies. The Cylons responded with a mad rush that push our carriers back a bit, only to run right into focused fire from the rest of the 7th and Colonial forces that wiped them out. From there our carriers made a wall that steadily pushed the Cylon fleet back, taking out their last forward plat, then grinding down the op while the enemy hung back, never pushing in. The few that tried rapidly died in turn. The battle for Muninn this night was a solid slugfest with equal numbers for most of the fight and great fun. Great work everyone and lets keep it going!
