Well friends, just so you all are aware...Im back in the Mahoning/Shenango Valley...shit got crazy in NYC!!! Not all bad crazy, just crazy. The good crazy: I DID make some great connections there (ahem Tim Welsh, Mark the drummer/bassist/producer from Times Square, Alex the guitarist from Wales, everyone from Niquea.D on 9th Avenue, etc...)...so I dont think this is necessarily the end...New York is rough, but lovely!! I rode the subways at midnight, explored Long Island, Brooklyn, and all different parts of Manhattan on my own with my trusty map and help from kind strangers, marched in a protest from Times Square to Harlem, sang in an artists gallery while he played drums, jammed with some awesome musicians, spent time getting to know a few great people...gained strength I didnt know I had (mentally and physically!!), and learned to trust my instincts for the first time in my life. The bad crazy: walking through cold rain with all of my luggage, trying to get it up and down stairs. Ugh!! Creepy people...people that I knew in my bones were creepy so I ran from them...FAST!! Losing my best friend...finding out that we have a lot of irreconcilable differences, that we have grown apart, that he will continue on his perfect straight path, Ill take my crazy, winding one. Dont know if those paths will cross again. Ill always love him, but Im thinking this was meant to be... I just have realized a lot of things during the three weeks I spent working and living there...in truth, I come back more inspired to continue changing and evolving, and I am planning my next move as we speak (possibly the completion of my bachelors degree so I can get a job that isnt mind-numbing lol). And honestly, Ive learned above all, who gives a shit what people think??? This is MY life. Ill figure it out. Love you all so very very much. Thank you for your support!!!!
