Well, good news/bad news/TBD situation here. Good: My stander has been approved by MA. Yaay! Bad: I no longer have MA. The 1200/mo I get from SSDI means I make too much money to be on MA. Which means I now have Medicare. Medicare doesnt cover standers, even though my entire medical team feels it is medically necessary for my treatment. Heck, it was their idea! TBD: I have a phone consult with a lawyer who is an expert on this stuff Thursday. Also, there are steps Im taking that may get me back on MA. Also I might be able to reenter the work force, as long as make between $70 and $1000/month without losing my SSDI. Itd be so much easier if I could just get a regular 9-5 type job, but until I get my surgery out of the way, that isnt even in the realm of wishful thinking.
