Well, here we are again, the start of another New Year. For many of you health and fitness might be tops on your Resolution List. I wish I had some brilliance to offer you, but truly, as an athlete and Fitness Professional for over 35 years now, the best advice I can give you is to stay CONSISTENT. For me, its so discouraging to work with clients or groups of people and watch them make great strides in their fitness, only to see them quit and erase all the hard earned benefits they gained and then have to start all over again. But this does not have to be you! A huge SHOUT OUT to my Groupers who hung in through the holidays sneaking in their workouts between shopping, eating, parties, eating, family, eating, and well you get the picture. You have definitely learned that your health and well-being is a priority, holiday or not, and staying committed to your exercise program is the best way to make it through the chaos virtually unscathed! My mission is and always has been to educate and motivate you by teaching you that committing to Quality not Quantity, Less Is More, Intelligent Workouts a few times a week, you can maintain a high level of fitness without investing a lot of time or money. This mornings Minimalist Workout is a perfect example of More Bang for your Buck when it comes to performing SMART, EFFECTIVE, MULTI-MUSCLE moves in a short amount of time. (comments welcome!) Because of the efficiency of the three COMPOUND exercises we performed, there really was no need to spend more than 20 minutes doing them. (even though I know you wanted to ;) ) Actually, for some of you, 10 or 15 minutes would probably have sufficed.
