Well, its now been confirmed. In three years time I will no longer be a Mr. I will be a Dr. My thesis will examine the rationale and nature of Roman emperors responses to natural disasters in Rome and Italy from Augustus to Domitian (31BC-AD96). I spoke with my research supervisor today and we are both really looking forward to seeing this through. Theres still some application paperwork to fill out and get processed, but its a definite not a maybe. Dreams can come true in this beautiful nation of ours if you work hard at them, and really, thats the way I like it. :-)
