Well, several hours ago I was driving to work on icy roads and lost control of my car. After spinning, I ramped an embankment and the car flipped on its roof. I unhooked my seatbelt and climbed out my shattered window. A kind neighbor took me in and cleaned me up and in less than two hours I had been cleared by the EMT and was back at home with only small cuts on my hands and a bit of soreness. According to the lovely woman who cleaned me up, it all happened very gracefully and all were convinced that angels were at work. Though I HATE that this happened, am unsure of whether I will have a car and reliving emotions of the horrible accident my family endured just months ago, I am so so so grateful for Jesus as I screamed his name while turning upside down without control. Today definitely did not turn out as I had planned. In fact, it rather sucked. As awful as it was, however, I saw the beauty in the kindness of strangers, the honor and appreciation for a sweet EMT and police officer, the unbelievable care of those that I love and forever and ever and ever, the goodness of my amazing Father, God who has preserved my life this day. Today, I am grateful.
