Well thanks to a cool supervisor, I was able to weasel out of tonights shift. I have this weekend off because my daughter is getting married. Nichole Lynn Carlston was born on an unfathomably cold night on Dec. 30, 1990. How cold? This is no kidding, the air temp was 50 below zero, and we had a stiff northerly wind....Who knows what the windchill was! Her birth changed everything and the way I look at things. I never knew I could love someone or something so much. Holidays were a joy again, and I went to great lengths to bring Santa to life for her and found magic in her eyes. She grew into a great athlete, student, and the biggest drama queen the world has ever known! And she is delightful! She is a member of the Iowa National Guard and I am very proud of her. We have always been very close. Saturday she will marry Adam Struve. For as young as he is, Adam is a Man. A good man, and I am elated to call him my son. I love you both very much. I pray you both embrace God, and your vows. Try to never go to sleep angry, embrace issues together and as a team. Adam, make time for you two....Nichole! He works very hard! Comfort him lol....Dont be dramatic! I love you kids, and will be just a phone call away. May God bless your union.
