Well...wasnt expecting comments on my little thoughts, was just here a bit idle and thinking about the home, suddenly I got all panicky cause well, I got some habits I gotta break if Im not gonna die of shock and withdrawal when I am no longer able to look after myself...there are no rules per say but there is a definite structure, and obvious limitations and restrictions...however, to all the hard-working and dedicated people who I am privileged to work along side, from nursing to maintenance and dietary, housekeeping, and of course recreation what a tremendous job you all do to make those routines comfortable and to assist each and every resident in any way to maintain some preferences and enjoyment in life..thanks to the guys who drop what they are doing to come hang a dart board for me, to the nurses who make sure the ladies got their nice clothes and jewelry on when we take them out, and the kitchen guy who always rolls his eyes when he sees us coming cause he knows he got to go dig out the good stuff... but he always does, and the ladies in housekeeping who will sit and chat with them help them find their glasses or a certain show on tv...and so much more little stuff that adds up...nobody works in long-term care just for the paycheck, ya cant do it!! And oh my, i got to go find something to do, bored enough hate to bore others too.
