Well well, everyone has their opinions about Tomorrowland, especially the ones that arent present on this event seem to be the biggest critics (some of which even came begging me before the festival to be on the line-up, and now dissing it,...) Yes it is a commercial party, yes theres EDM that makes you lose faith in humanity, but theres also so much going on at the smaller stages that is as close to a musical orgasm as you can get. And the friendship and alliances that get forged behind the scenes on those festivals are exactly what is lacking amongst those oh so self-richteous we-are-so-underground-we-can-look-into-our-own-arse people... What do you think is more difficult: to play for your little corner of people, or to convince a crowd that isnt yours that your music is worth checking? I think the second one. Everyone who has experienced it has seen the downsides but also the many upsides, and it makes me proud to have been part of it for so many years. Because the papers might only see the cake throwing and the posing, but we see the love, the friendship and the massive respect the organisation gives everyone involved, big or small names.
