Well what a fantastic day and what a great turn out for the third - TopicsExpress

Well what a fantastic day and what a great turn out for the third annual Llandudno Darts open, held at the Evans Hotel. Yet again the support from both local players and those from away was brilliant. May I personally thank our local darts league players, who each year support this event, and I hope you will allow me the indulgence in naming and thanking those who made this day so special. Thanks to Clive Davies who helped us set everything up on the Friday. Thanks to Dave Nolan and Chris Jones for their work in running the blind pairs comp, Chrissie Halliday for running this years first ever ladies comp at the Llandudno open. Mike Castro and Geoff Smith for running the raffle. Greg Robbins for supplying his technical know how and Peter Kerney for marking and the excellent caller Tim Grub. Thanks to all those who marked so many games, with a special mention to Neil LLewelyn Hughes. Special thanks to Pete Hibbert and all the staff at The Evans Hotel making everybody yet again feel so welcome, and of course special thanks to Sam Bradley. Top quality darts throughout the whole day, and the feedback seems positive. I lost in the first round, but Im using the excuse that running the comp was the reason I played bad, and Im sticking with that Gerwyn Jones!
