Wellllll Good morning and a Happy Hump Day to you all :))))).....Nurses just left and removed my corner sutures although one they couldnt cuz it is under a scab and basically I gotta keep an eye on it until the scab falls off and hopefully the knot is attached to it so it will also be gone but if not my doc will have to remove it when the scab is gone.....I have to keep an eye on that area incase it gets really red.....at any rate, incisions look good and I dont have any gauze on them anymore.....I have a tank top on under the girdle now just to keep my skin away from the blasted girdle so GOOD no more having to plaster myself with zinc cream cuz of my skin being irritated by the girdle :))))))......they told me now I can sit on the couch relaxed WITHOUT the girdle but put it on when I am out and about or moving around the house or sleeping......I can now get in the shower, WOO HOOOOOO!!!! Although I have been sponge bathing and leaning over the tub to wash my hair but course that is NOT the same....the nurse sponged me down under the girdle and you can be sure that felt OMG wonderful, lol.......I still have that pain on my left side and that bruise is still there but they said pay attention to it and if it gets worse or the pain stays longer than usual to call and I will have to have it looked at......said it might be scar tissue from a previous surgery or I might use my left side more than my right when moving about.....although I am right handed.....I told them that last night I mop and gloed the floors, ya, ya, probably shouldnt have but like the nurses said I know what I can and cant do.....I didnt like get on my hands and knees and scrub, I used the mop and was careful not to push too hard on it......after though I moved a certain way and that left side was really weird cuz it almost felt like sutures unraveled.....which yes, can happen the nurse said but very unlikely......and they are dissolving and have probably dissolved for the most part.....its that left side thats a bother but I will pay attention to it and make my appointment with my surgeon and mention it to him.....the one nurse said it didnt look like I was more swollen on that side so thats good......she said my swelling has come down considerably too and now you can really see my figure :))))))......right now my right side lower corner area of my hip is sore cuz that is where she removed a stitch or two and could not remove the one that is under a scab but ofcourse she tried and now its sore :( .....oh well, par for the course......so I am now discharged from home care and given my instructions so Im thrilled to say the least.........I must say its gonna be awesome to sit without this girdle although it has made me feel secure too cuz it keeps everything nice and tight and together......but hey, its nice to know I can remove it :)))))) I have to mention that I had wonderful nurses from Bayshore Home Health, very friendly, caring, patient and know their jobs very well......Have a great Hump Day all xoxoxo
