Went out for an easy pace 1/2 marathon distance run this morning on the local streets with some of The Crew. On our way back south on Merrick Av by Eisenhower Park, our group of 3 was met with an onslaught of 5,000 women, most wearing bright pink and decked in tiaras & tutus. We joined them for a mile or so and I was taking in the scenery, sites & sounds of an all-women street race, a runner across the street shouted out to me as we passed: "You go, Girl!" and she gave me a high-five.
