Were in free fall ecologically, everyone.... if nothing else, the pollution bioaccumilating with the unrelenting amount of epic industrial disasters, N. America alone, has sustained in the last 3-5 years... is enough to qualify my statement. Ive been keeping up with international, environmental updates regularly for almost 20 years too- esp the ones hidden and not covered or under reported.... At least a couple hours daily since the Gulf Disaster.... and its really made a major jump in how frequent these very very serious disasters are occurring. That does not even touch the fact that they are systematically being protected by the regulatory agencies and the federal government to a measure that defies rational, objective reason to a point well beyond what should be perceived as criminal... It SHOULD be seen as terrorism, and a direct threat to all life. So pardon me if I get disgusted by people who say change happens a little bit a time. No, Im sorry, but it doesnt. Four years ago, the Pacific wasnt a radioactive waste dump for plutonium, MOX fuel, and millions of gallons of radioactive isotopes and heavy metals..... The Gulf of Mexico was already a oil and chemical corp dumping ground, but it wasnt a cancerous, flesh eating bacteria death zone.... Multiple rivers werent choking on clean coal, arsenic laden ash.... mercury (20 times over the legal limit wasnt dumped in the Great Lakes by BP), Hanford Nuclear Power Plant wasnt leaking mysterious, radioactive vapors, and seeping into the ground water.... A nuclear waste facility in New Mexico had not exploded, and wasnt leaking plutonium into the atmosphere.... Gylsophate (primary ingredient in RoundUp, the #1 selling garden/lawn care chemical in the US that has been connected to kidney disease, autism, neurological disorders, birth defects, etc.) wasnt found in 100% of the water, animal and human samples taken... and in 75% of RAINWATER..... BPA (chemical in all petroplastics responsible for massive hormone disruption, sterility, autism, cancer, etc.) wasnt in the majority of water samples, etc. (because I could go on for a while)........... Bees and all pollinators are dying at a catastrophic rate in those short amount of years too.... SOOO.... I beg to differ the Change comes slowly. So when Michelle Obama does a speech on how great the new food labels are- when they FAIL to include ANY of the changes the vast majority of N. America has been DEMANDING, and it was one of the PRIMARY campaign promises her Hubby made (among hundreds of others broken), I resent that people defend her with Its a nice start. Its a start to look into parachutes for a descent that will surely kill me too.... but when you start price checking only after youre in free fall.... nice starts dont soften the impact.
