Weve gotten a lot of response about the avocado newsletter. Heres an example from Randy. Howard, I cant agree with you more about MUFAs, or good fats. The taboo against fat prevented me for a long time from really enjoying avocados and once I learned that almond butter tastes just like peanut butter (but better for you). But after learning from the Paleos about healthy fats I started imbibing them by the mouthful / in gulps and lost 30 pounds without a change in exercise. Whats more important, my type two diabetes symptoms including crashing metabolism, sleepiness, mood swings, and being prone to illness disappeared. I admit I am also taking in a lot more spinach, celery, kale, ginger, beets, mint, and fruit smoothies in addition but basically the ups and downs have subsided and I am regaining my life! The heavier fats are like rocket fuel and burn longer and cleaner than starches and sugars. Aldi often has the best prices on avocados in case anyone is cost-conscious (under 89 cents/ea). Peace P.S. What is it that you are calling raw cheese below in the picture? Im imagining its not pasturized like the milk from the farm on Jupiter Rd. (Lucky Layla brand). I myself enjoy the cheapest cheese Ive been able to find in Kroger: panela (mexican fresh cheese). A. Raw cheese is just that - raw. It has not been pasteurized ruining much of the food value and health benefits.
