We’re happy to announce that Semiofest 2014 will take place in V Art Center at M50! Once a textile factory, Shanghai M50 is now a creative compound that preserves a traditional industrial architectural style. The building where V ART CENTER is located was constructed in 1938 as a weaving workshop. As a gallery space affiliated with Shanghai Institute of Visual Art (SIVA), V Art Center is presided by Mr. Ding Yi, modern artist and associate dean of SIVA. V Art Center has held many interesting exhibitions and events, including NORDOX Nordic Documentary Film Festival and Art that Heel, ELLE’s 25th anniversary project.
