What a day!! Ending on what I will call a positive note. Went back to the hospital to say good night and got to talk to another transplant physician. They are closely monitoring Chucks status (as they said tbey would) He is extremely high risk dor surgery but if appropriate donor is found they will proceed. They are very concerned about his gut. That seems to be thickened and perhaps some of the problem. Nonetheless, Chuck was alert, knew we were there and responded to simple commands. I will take that. God has been active in this from the start. If we had taken him to ED in Roanoke, valuable time would have been lost since they didnt know entire history. That is not said in a disparaging way just factual. If he had decompensated in the vehicle down, it would have been disastrous. He got to the right place we were meant to be. I am so thankful for the miracles that have already occurred. Praise God! .
