What a humbling experience this morning to be allowed inside the Parliament and witness the bullet holes still fresh in the walls and doors of one of the hallways. The beautiful library... the sound door that stopped one of the bullets from entering a room full of people... one of the witnesses walked us through exactly how it happened, pointing out every shot that was made.... This was amazing. Ive seen twice people being shot pretty much in front of me - in Moscow and Mexico City, but for some reason seeing the bullet holes this morning made a bigger impact. Probably because this is Canada, my home.... and the home for my kids.
