What a night I had, my sides and jaw hurt from laughing so much. Alonzo Bodden, Billy Gardell and then Ray Romano all of them top pros and they all did a great job! It was a show that you just wouldn’t believe if I told you about it, you really had to be there! I was blessed to photograph it and to have an all access pass. The cause was for weSpark Cancer Support and their staff and volunteers were wonderful, I was treated like a king or to my friend Andre Kelley I was treated like a queen! LOL! The show wasn’t just a standup comedy show though, the first half was a cabaret show and although I didn’t know any of the singers they also all did a great job! Oh wait there was one guy I knew, his name was Steven Weber he starred in a show I think it was called “Wings” He sang a couple of songs and was really quite talented and funny too. The other very talented singers were Lindsey Alley, Jason Graae, Valerie Perri and Jennifer Leigh Warren. Actress Cheryl Hines presented an award and I also got to meet Jack McGee who played on a show called Common Law which I watched but unfortunately was canceled by the USA network. Some of the other highlights…I was introduced to Ray Romano’s daughter, Alexandra, by Ray Romano. I met a guy that works on the production side of a TV show that gave me some inside info on two different endings for NCIS’s Cote Del Pablo’s character Ziva David! (One of my favorite shows) When I first got backstage Billy Gardell was trying to lay low doing a crossword puzzle but that didn’t last long once I got back there with my camera! Meeting actor Jack McGee who informed me that Common Law was canceled which bummed me out. Being around Steven Weber backstage was very cool, I photographed him once before with the very talented comedic actress Amy Yasbeck. Hanging out with Alonzo backstage is always a pleasure…. I’m working on the photos as I write, shot over a thousand photos. It’s time to go to work and get them edited, captioned and sent off to Wireimage!
