What can I say? To close to home? But this is home ! Not just a few weeks ago Josh Green and I ware gossiping about the Philippines and I was playing with the dogs in the barn with anticipation to see my new Mini Pin back in Cebu. Then the earth quake, then a tornado crosses the channel from Lapu Lapu. I am on my way to VA Beach with the tents and saws i just did get back from friends in Chrisfeild MD used after the mess we went through in Sandy, Yahh i was here for that mess to ! Duhh.Any way I can only hope the Navy or USAF might can ship this needed things to Bantayan. The destruction on the small island part of Cebu is every bit as leveled with 234 mph wind and a 14 foot sea surge from the Visayan Sea that many of you see on TV in Tacloban. To help paint a picture my concerns with Bantayan, other then family and friends. Take note ware I stand at the very cannery the Japaneses Blew up shooting there own foot since this was one of the major bread baskets to the entire region and there first act in WW2 might be seen a blunder cutting there own food supply! Agriculture is not easy on mountain terrain. But most of Bantayan is a plane of vast agriculture poultry dairy swine and Aqua Culture. It was shocking seeing the first views of the destruction and knowing the area what stood out most was the crops were driven into muddied fields and every tree bearing fruits or nuts were striped bear. Normally Bantayan would be a first responder to these situations but I clearly see it has all been wiped away when it is needed the most. My wife has made her way to the island as well as more relatives that live around the City Cebu. Do not let the upcoming non-since cloud your view of who these people really are. Pinoy and some of the most friendly helpful people on the plaint , but the BULLCHIT is all ready flying out of control. No different then here in the states , The Profiteers are all ready at work impeding the aide for there own gains and I can a sure you many are not Pinoy. Proper placement of your aide you will see they quickly rebound without taxing there benefactors for years to come. Any you folks also in agriculture and aqua culture I could use your help and maybe pull together a think tank to jump start the poultry and fishery which will rapidly improve the situation in this part of the Philippines. The six week bird is ready available so a rapid feed? Caged aqua culture is yet to be employed and was one of my interests moving to Cebu and the development for a future product we call Balsam Of Pinoy you horse folks should enjoy!
