What happened to Perla after she left her last family?? That day, when I was going to take her to the vets hotel, I took her to my home for 20 minutes, to relax her a little, because she had experienced so many changes in her life. She was sitting always close to me, following me everywhere and I did not have a heart to take her and leave her for the weekend in hotel...She must feel some connection with me ( maybe she knows, I made lots of effort to prevent her from being put to sleep? I don´´t know..) , because every time during her staying with different people, she would always cry after I left her with them and even if she would not see me for very long time, she still would know me and was happy to see me... That weekend went quite good. First two days were little stressful, because Perla did not know how to react to so many cats, cats did not like a new dog,...But I am used to crazy home, because my house IS crazy!!! Allie, the crazy terrier is bossing all animals here around so very quickly she took the superior position to Perla. Every time Perla wanted to run after cats, Allie and Nikki too would jump between Perla and cats, defending cats. Soon Perla learned, that cats are part of this family and need to be left alone ( except of their soft food, when she always tries to eat their food!). When she had attack at the beginning, as well Allie and Nikki would straight jump to her, barking at her. So these three days passed quite good. When Monday came I was thinking, that if I take Perla to the hotel, she would stay there indefinitely, because lets face it, even if there would be someone else, who would like to adopt Perla, after couple of weeks she would have to leave again... I really could not do it to her any more. She is a nice dog. Yes, she has mental problems, but it is not her fault. So she stayed with me. First week I got bitten twice - mu fault, because when she was behaving good, I kept forgetting, that she is and never will be a normal dog. When she was lying on the floor close to me I would reach for something under the table and this would scare her and this is when she would bite during attack. Now however, she is part of The gang and in Allie she found a great playmate. Allie is always hyper, having too much energy and Perla likes to play, so two of them run around the garden in huge speed chasing each other or just wrestle in the room. There is always so much activity in my house with so many animals and so many different noises outside, that Perla is not bored. When she gets sometimes ( not as much as before) an attack, I know how to deal with it and it stops fast. She is crazy for food, so I have snacks in a plastic container and as soon as she starts, I rattle it and all three dogs coming to get snacks. Attack forgotten! So this is the story of Perla, that last December I met for the first time and after year of travelling around she came back to me....
