What have 700 school kids, 60 confused rural farmers, 60 orphans - TopicsExpress

What have 700 school kids, 60 confused rural farmers, 60 orphans and a local chief got in common? They were all part of last weeks ‘Laugh N Play Seagull extravaganza’. We have been lucky enough to spend the majority of last week in the Community of Ayensuako, in Ghana’s central region. We had show’s in all three schools, a huge evening show in the centre of the town for the entire community, and then spent the whole day in a bubble of positivity with the kids at the orphanage. We played drums, tight-wire, face-painted, danced, sang, spun plates, performed for each other. It was a very moving day as the children were just overflowing with affection and warm hearts. They were abandoned for a variety of reasons from parents dying to simply being left unwanted. It breaks our hearts every time to think of these guys and millions like them growing up without daily warmth and encouragement, and further deepens our resolve that the Seagull Project must play on until every child everywhere has a happy memory in the bank! This was exactly the reason the Seagull Project was formed; To comfort the disturbed and offer warm positive encouragement and friendship to lonely and forgotten children. A smile is always free and always welcome. Please give at least ten away before lunchtime on our behalf, and we’ll do the same. Love and high fives from all of us to all of you. Happy Monday
