What outcome of Tree Talk ? -O P Sharma Vidyarthi Tree Talk travelling tree to tree to tell tree tales and interpret natural heritage of biodiversity associated with trees and bushes was founded and nurtured with passion ,it had regular weekly walks and talks to know who contributing what and how contributing towards Biodiversity familiarity ,identification of species in woodlands ,farmlands and gardens ,outdoor nature interaction to revive tree traditions ,popularising religious and cultural tree tales ,sharing latest innovations in tree science ,encouraging tree planting and green interaction between stakeholders ,providing platform to all to speak and share ,documenting native knowledge on biodiversity and imparting nature education without wasteful expenditure .Dear green friends ,yesterday while hosting 4th Tree Talk anniversary and 322nd session ,efforts got big boost and great appreciation when proposal to have Tree Talk Garden was agreed upon in principle by govt authorities . Four years back on 19th December 2010 ,Tree Talk was kickstarted from Jammu university and had impressive Journey through various select locations inside and outside J&K .Despite chill and low temperature in Jammu morethan 200 participants exhibited remarkable to know more and more on neighbourhood biodiversity. As per Indian Biodiversity Act 2002 ,Biodiversity registers need to be prepared by all panchayats to reflect on status , utilization ,nomenclature ,conservation and value addition with links to livelihood of ethnic groups need to be undertaken . Tree Talk has achieved much in short span of four years.
