What we learned this year on our trip to St. Louis with a 5 year old and 20 month old... A 5 year old can make herself stay awake watching movies in the car, hours after bedtime A 20 month old can destroy a hotel room in 5 minutes flat! Everyone and their brother goes to the Magic House when it is raining A 5 year old can scream/cry while saying the same thing over and over again from the back door of the museum all the way to the restaurant You never get anywhere as early as you planned Sit and Stand strollers are the best inventions ever! When a 20 month old says he is all done at a restaurant you better believe him! You can spend 5 hours at the St Louis Zoo and see very few live animals The goat pin at Grants Farm is very muddy and the goats dont care what they get messy or what the eat Budweiser with Lime is horrid! You can actually buy a half pound cupcake, and it was delicious! It is important to listen to the directions by the nice farmers at the apple orchard. We have 14 lbs of unknown type. Even 20 month olds can pick and eat 2 apples while picking apple in the rain Chester, IL is the home town of Popeye and you can even make a u-turn to get a picture with life sized bronze statue. Lamberts is very crowded on Sundays but do sell their rolls which somewhat calmed down the 5 year old as you head to another restaurant. We have some great memories and had a fantastic time!
