When God Says No! What Then? When God says NO! Have you ever really, really wanted something very badly, and you could not see any reason why God should not give it to you or at least let you have it? I have! Then come the questions....Why God, why, I know You really love me? So surely You can see why I need this? Well if you do, you are not alone. Jesus and Paul both asked 3 times Why, Father Why....But then they accepted and submitted themselves to God the Fathers Will, Way and Time. For those of us, who are loving parents, you know that sometimes our children want things that are not good for them, even though they do not understand that what they want---is not what is best for them, or may not even be good for them at all. 2 Corinthians 12:7-10 Because of the surpassing greatness of the revelations (God has given to me, Paul), for this reason, to keep me from exalting myself, there was given me a thorn in the flesh,(poor eyesight) a messenger of Satan to torment me-to keep me from exalting myself! 8 Concerning this I implored (asked, with much emotion) the Lord three times that it might leave me. 9 And He (God) has said to me, My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness. Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me. 10 Therefore I am well content with weaknesses, with insults, with distresses, with persecutions, with difficulties, for Christs sake; for when I am weak, then I am strong. Just like Paul, as a Born Again Believer, you know God as our Heavenly Father. And just like a loving earthly parent knows what is good or best for their child, God knows what is good or best for His children, even when we cannot understand or see it, especially at the time we are wanting our way. Paul was pleading with God to help his eyesight to improve, even saying that it would help his ministry.....But God said No. Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust (Lean on with Love) in the LORD with all your heart And do not lean on your own understanding. 6 In all your ways acknowledge (recognize the Authority of God) Him, And He will make your paths straight. When God says “NO,” we must accept the fact that our Heavenly Father knows what is absolutely the best for us, even more than we, as loving parents, think we know what is best for our own children...God sees the end from the beginning and knows all things. What if you and your wife wanted to have a baby, and you prayed and prayed but God did not allow your wife to become pregnant with a child. Could you understand God’s decision completely? No, almost everyone of us could not understand and would not want to accept this. When God does not allow me to have what I have wanted and prayed so hard for, thinking how much it would help me in life and in my ministry. That is when I usually ask God WHY, WHY, WHY? But usually God never answers that question, at least for me, especially at the time I am asking it! But we have to understand that God does not owe us an explanation. GOD IS GOD. He does what He pleases and we must trust Him ALWAYS. Even when we can’t see Him working or do not understand what or why He is doing what He is doing, WE MUST TRUST HIS HEART! HIS HEART IS FULL OF LOVE, FORGIVENESS, FAITHFULNESS, RIGHTEOUSNESS, JUSTICE AND LOVING KINDNESS. Psalm 33:4-5 For the word of the LORD is upright, And all His work is done in faithfulness. 5 He loves righteousness and justice; The earth is full of the lovingkindness of the LORD. Remember that God the Father even said NO to His own Son, Jesus! Just before His arrest, in great grief and distress....Jesus prayed 3 TIMES IN Matthew 26:39-44 VERSE 39 And He went a little beyond them, and fell on His face and prayed, saying, My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; yet not as I will, but as You will. And yet, God said “NO. MY SON BECAUSE OF MY GREAT LOVE FOR MANKIND AND FOR YOU, THIS IS MY PERFECT WILL” So Jesus went to the cross, Trusting in God the Father AND DOING HIS PERFECT WILL 100%. Because God knew it was the only and best way, for Jesus to do His Will, why? BECAUSE GOD LOVES YOU AND ME THAT MUCH! DID GOD TELL JESUS WHY IT HAD TO BE EXACTLY THAT WAY, AT THE TIME? I DO NOT THINK SO, OR ELSE JESUS WOULD NOT HAVE PRAYED 3 TIMES FOR ANOTHER WAY. So we can be sure that if and when God does say “NO” to our requests, HE MAY NOT EVER TELL US WHY, BUT BE SURE IT IS FOR THE SAME REASON – HE IS SAYING I LOVE YOU, MY CHILD SO MUCH THAT I CANNOT ALLOW THIS FOR YOU. YES, HE LOVES YOU AND ME THAT MUCH! God is saying I have something better for YOU.....trust in Me and My love for you...And just like Jesus and Paul, we need to say Yes, Lord, Yes and accept it, knowing that Gods Perfect Will, Way and Time is Always what is Best for us. https://youtube/watch?v=eLn0cRl-0GE&feature=related
