When somebody says they are against private property, what they - TopicsExpress

When somebody says they are against private property, what they literally mean is that they think it is OK to steal things in instances when the victim is rich. Once we dig through all the wailing and gnashing of teeth… and once we sift through the contrived attempt to define personal property… once we put aside the empty buzz words and define each concept clearly… then the only real meaning to their claim is that they think some involuntary transfer of control should be allowed. If some people want to come together and voluntarily live in such a community, go for it. If they want to lobby and convince others to join them, then fine. To each their own. The sad thing is that these pro-theft people also desire to impose their rules on the rest of society through force. And that is why these mindless thugs are a real threat to innocent and peaceful people everywhere. Obviously they are unlikely to succeed with imposing their totalitarian regime, but given they are already pro-theft and pro-violence, it is fair for us to worry about how these people are going to behave more generally. They may fail in becoming tyrants, but it seems quite likely they will become violent criminals. Is there a solution? Is there any way to reduce the risk of these thugs on peaceful society?
