Whew! Finally done with 7 proposals scheduled for today. It was like a whirlwind tour, from Bangladesh to Solomon Islands, then India followed by Nepal and Indonesia, and finally Pakistan and Papua New Guinea. The deliberations about the proposals from national education coalitions were in-depth learning sessions, since the CSEF colleagues are veteran civil society leaders with multi-country work experience. Some recurring questions: "What is the value-added of CSEF to the work of the national coalitions e.g. in the case of CAMPE in Bangladesh, the funds we give is just 10% of their total budget? How do we help strengthen the national coalitions by accelerating how they learn from one another? How do we help them sustain themselves by broadening their leadership and resource base?"
