Whew!! Moving aint for the faint of heart!!! First all the sorting and packing - then the wait to be moved....ready and then postponed for a month. Now the unpacking and finding a place for things....the movers unloaded us Sat, Sun we enjoyed church with friends - Monday up and at em - today our only neighbor that is still here during the HEAT - stopped over with a cake - and going thru box after box - I just unwrapped this: God hath not promised skies always blue - Flower-strewn pathways all our lives through. God hath not promised sun without rain - Joy without sorrow, peace without pain; BUT GOD hath promised strength for the day, Rest fro the labor, light for the way, grace for the trials, help from above, UNFAILING sympathy ~ undying love.....THIS was given to David and I in about 1975 from our high school youth group - think it was a Christmas gift....its a wooden plaque that has hung in every home weve had....and we will find a place in this home for it as well. WOW!! Only God knew what was ahead for us, and the many times these words have brought wonderful memories and reminders of our special high school group - and today it really struck me, as David always says some of his favorite two words in the BIble are - BUT GOD.....and this has BUT GOD - little did our youth know back in 1975 what promise those words would mean.....GOD is ever faithful. Soon our dear friends, Gene and LaVon will be coming by to help us enjoy the wonderful cake our new neighbors brought.....we invited them, but they couldnt join us. Thank you for your continued prayers for us as we keep on keeping boxes unpacked - David had me come and see our progress - we can see the floor in the spare room and weve been parking both cars in the garage since Saturday night......Hugs.
