Whew! Survived taking apart my plant stand and reconfiguring it. 1st photo: Used two shelves instead of three. I felt my standards needed more clearance space between the light tubes and foliage of the plants. I decided to use the upper shelf for minor storage of pots, etc. since there was too little space left to accommodate a row for propagation or tinier plants like minis and semi-minis. Im thinking the standard sized plants will be happier. I was seeing some cultural changes which worried me, like leaves that are normally darker green switching to light tones. 2nd photo: Since I was in the mood to tinker with power tools I assembled my second plant cart which was being stored in the attic. I plan to use it for leaf propagation and to grown a dozen or so semi-miniatures and a couple of minis. I will use the lower shelf for more standards. I will need the space since I have several leaves putting up babies and I have to order a few more plants as we nudge closer to fall/winter so I can grow them for exhibition next spring. Im t-i-r-e-d. The old Volkmanns style carts really need two people for easier assembly. Instead I decided to fly solo on this project.
