While I feel that the ACA is overall a good thing, Im perturbed by the fact that a single individual in the state of Oregon that makes more than 24K per year is ineligible for a subsidy, especially given the fact that the so-called young & healthy are expected to subsidize those who are not so. It is further irritating to me because coverage a year ago (very basic no-frills) was quoted to me at $89/mo; this same coverage is now $161/mo. Still scratching my head & trying to figure out if theres a correlation between the new health insurance math and the Common Core...
