While I wasnt around for the French Revolution, which nowadays would likely register nothing more than a riot or demonstration b/c it competes with what child star is wigging out now as attention-worthy, this headline recalled memories of Margaret (Thatcher) the Milk Thief. Can anyone recall ancient history... like the 1970s and the UKs Summer of Discontent? It came down to the kids...thats where they drew a line. So - presuming the Salt Lake Tribune is reputable - imagine we werent the richest nation on earth, with an abundance of food so great, we pay farmers NOT to produce... taking food from a child when its learned he cannot pay the for-profit contractor at the public school cafeteria seems a dire set of circumstances. When we cut free school lunches in our conservative red &/or budget strapped states - which, by and large are one in the same - children still need to eat. I hope we are growing tired of the class warfare... Yes, that would be the true sense of the words, not the opposite of the original meaning as we hear corporate media pitching it.
