While my DAUGHTER & a friend were eating in the parking lot of a McDonalds, her vehicle was SURROUNDED by several policemen. The officers HANDCUFFED them, put them in the back of SEPARATE cars, & conducted a thorough SEARCH of her vehicle. My daughter expressed to me that she wasnt ALLOWED to retrieve her credentials as she asked the officer REPEATEDLY. When the tow truck ARRIVED the officer released her from the handcuffs & told her she was FREE to get her personals from the car before the vehicle was TOWED. She stated, Mom I knew this was God, because I RETRIEVED my proof of insurance & registration from the glove compartment. She yelled, Officer, heres my information! She expressed to me, He seemed UPSET that she located them. Friend, its quite SAD, but unfortunately this incident is all too FAMILIAR to the Black race. I realize ALL cops ARENT bad, but situations like this can be AVOIDED if ALL are treated EQUALLY instead of judged by the COLOR of our skin.
