While the rest of the world goes about its business, doctors from Medecins Sans Frontieres (Doctors without borders) are desperately fighting a losing battle against a very deadly virus. How deadly? They already lost approximately a hundred of their own fighting a lethal killer. First detected in Zaire in the early 70s, the Ebola virus was confined to remote areas and largely dismissed as too far away to cause any alarm. Then a few months ago, it wreaked havoc in Guinea. Then Liberia. Then Sierra Leone. It has spread at an alarming pace over hundred of miles that it has started to go out of control. As CNNs Dr. Sanjay Gupta found out when he went to Guinea, just a plane ride away from an infected person whos unaware he has the virus, to any parts of Europe, Asia or America can spark off a deadly pandemic worse than a fictional zombie outbreak scenario.
