Why Are You So Afraid Of Being Different? So be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid and do not panic before them. For the LORD your God will personally go ahead of you. He will neither fail you nor abandon you. Deuteronomy 31:6 Every time I hear that Bible verse I feel two things. I feel a sense of security and a sense of empowerment. I dont think anybody on this earth can ever say that and fulfill it. People on this earth can try to fulfill this promise of always being there but eventually they will fail. It is almost like God is telling you, Hey, stop your frettin Im right here. I will always be here for you. All you have to do is ask. Its gives me a sense of security and serenity. God will be and is always by your side in good and bad times all you have to do is open your eyes and heart to see Him. This verse also gives me empowerment just like God gives me a sense of peace, He also gives me the strength to be different for Him. Its so hard to step out of our schedules and our neatly tight lives to be different for the God who saved us. WE are called to be the light in the tunnel of darkness in this world. So what if our friends look at us different and mock us for sharing our faith. So what if our family shuns us for going to church and praising God. SO what if our society labels us a Jesus freak if we go to a different country to spread Gods word and help others. SO WHAT?! So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10 Instead of being afraid of others opinions, lets use their opinions to empower us. Use their evil words to strengthen us instead of weaken us. People will judge you if you are doing good or bad! So why dont we base our decisions on what Jesus would do instead of what would they think of us. This weeks challenge is to share this post/video with someone you might think is going through something or just to show on your news feed to let someone know that being different is a good thing in Christ. It shows you are going to be strengthened in what the Lord thinks of you and not others.
