Wilmot Community Association - Senior luncheon Nov. 21 at the WCA Come join the fun group that gathers once a month for a hot meal at noon, Thursday, Nov. 21 at the Wilmot Community Association’s (WCA) Red Barn, 64 Village Road, Wilmot. This month Don Davis, a columnist for the InterTown Record, will present a 30-minute talk about the 1938 hurricane and its fury as it came through the area. For seniors, age 60 and older, a donation of $2 is requested for the meal and $3 for the WCA for providing the kitchen and setting up the function room. For those younger than 60 a donation of $6 for the lunch and $3 to the WCA is requested. To reserve a spot for yourself and anyone you bring along, call Carol Weatherbee at 526-7307 or e-mail her at carolwbee@gmail no later than Nov. 16. The next luncheon will be at noon Thursday, Dec. 19 at the Wilmot Baptist Church, across Village Road from the WCA’s Red Barn. The luncheons are a joint effort between the Wilmot Ladies Aid Society and Community Action Program (CAP) in Concord. CAP provides food and support services for senior citizens in New Hampshire. The luncheons will be held the third Thursday of the month.
