“Wisdom Leans” This morning, we’re heading into a new message series entitled “A Look in the Mirror.” The title comes from a couple of powerful verses: “Act on what you hear! Those who hear and don’t act are like those who glance in the mirror, walk away, and two minutes later have no idea who they are, what they look like.” (James 2:23-24 Msg) Over the next several weeks, our focus will be on the amazingly practical principles from the Book of James in the Bible. It’s a no nonsense approach to the Jesus journey. It calls for transformed living during tough times. Today will address how important it is to “LEAN” in life. Wisdom is all about LEANing into the steady strength of God. It’s a daily dependence on the One who knows the road ahead. Fools attempt the impossible task of figuring out the scheme of life—relationships, money, work. But Jesus followers “LEAN” their way through life.
