With Sincere Gratitude (and including Then and Now photos so that past band alumni might recognize the shown couple) . . . In just the last week, Laura and I had the opportunity to enjoy two memorable banquets held at Juniata High School. This past Monday evening, the annual JHS Band Banquet was bursting at the seams to accommodate approximately 255 people and on Thursday evening, Nov. 20th, we were attendees as invited guests at the Touchdown Clubs annual banquet that also had a huge attending crowd to recognize our JHS BIG RED football team. We are very appreciative of the many well wishes expressed by both JHS band and football team families. I am especially thankful for the kind words that were spoken by Coach Klingensmith and Touchdown Club officers at the football team banquet. Having had the opportunity to share 35 years of Friday Night Football game experiences with Gary Klingensmith, his assistant coaches & support staff members, along with the countless football team family members who have ALWAYS shown support to our marching band, I have nothing but absolute respect for Coach K. and appreciation for being able to be involved in the overall fall football season game experience for more than a few years. As a diehard PSU and Philadelphia Eagles fan, I have always had an appreciation for the game and it has been a real privilege to play a role in hopefully creating an exciting Friday night game experience for the attending JHS crowd. Whether it be the tribal drum beat of Cherokee or the many enjoyable stands tunes, the chosen music is something that also creates fun moments for our band members. As for the JHS band members, I am currently in the process of putting my heartfelt thoughts in print and will send these thoughts via e-mail to our band families within the next few days. Both Laura and I hope that everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving Day and we greatly appreciate the communitys support of our JHS Music Program. KEEP MUSIC IN THE SCHOOLS! Respectfully, Mr. C
