With reference to the Post by Fred Murphy, I wish to provide the community with the facts as published by the Whitsunday Regional Council on their website. All the relevant information is publically available for those who are interested. There are quite a lot of scans and all need to be read. I have not altered the documents, except to print in black and white. This posts are from the Appendix documents from the WRC meeting held on 22 October 2010. As I did not attend the meeting, I do not know if Mayor Whitney removed herself from the final motion to vote these minutes through as they the Minutes of the WRC meeting held on 22 Oct 2014 have not been published at this time. However, from these documents you can see that she did chair the committee meeting and did advise the meeting of her ownership in Proserpine Machinery Service. This being said she voted for the plant and fleet replacement program, and for the Agenda Item 2 Replacement of Mowers. The Mayor then left the meeting during the procurement plan for the purchase of the movers discussion. This is what Fred was referring to in his post earlier. The decisions were made in her presence, and only the planning discussion was not conducted in the Mayors presence.
