Within my friends in the last 6 months, multiple people have gone - TopicsExpress

Within my friends in the last 6 months, multiple people have gone to Israel and been turned away. Many who had spent $1,000s on airfares. Not one of them is, has been or would ever be considered to be a terrorist. Nor are any of them capable of changing the situation in Palestine. At least one was an Israeli/American duel citizen. Another is a young American living in Jordan who they asked to spy on the Jordanian army. A gay activist... so much for Israelis pinkwashing. A Canadian of 60 with a health issue. In one case it wasnt good enough to just do 4 hours of interrogation and an cavity search... they flagged the person with Interpol and Homeland security just to be real smart arses. In every case at Ben Gurion airport those that got the treatment were not alone in jail. 2 elderly ladies from Russian were denied entry to visit relatives because they werent Jewish enough. One young jail companion was an Australian who merely said Id like to spend 2 weeks in the IDF to see what it is like. We are giving Israel 1.5 months to revolve one of these cases. If they fail to do so plans are being put in place to start a class action law suit. Ill bet Israel, being I for Israel and I for Ignorant will not apologise for what was done. Ill bet they offer no compensation. In which case we will be immediately collecting names for a class action. Question... Should Israel sell itself as a tourist destination when on a good day it appears at least 20 people at Ben Gurion airport alone are treated like total shit at the airport and returned to sender? (And Im not even talking about those with Palestinian bloody lines.) Im happy to not waste my time on this. Im kewl with seeing one apology to one person. We can get back to what was intended to be achieved last year. Going to Palestine to document the lives of a few elderly Jewish Israelis that are the contacts family members and catching up with Palestinian friends. BUT Ill tell you this... if there is no access, no apology and no compensation there will be a website to collect information for a class action, their will be paid advertising in major international newspapers to create awareness and all of my skills will be deployed for as long as it takes to get a significant case together. Win or lose the legal case will be a drop in a bucket compared to the impact of the negative PR.
