Wollongong police are currently investigating an aggravated break and enter at Balgownie on the on the state’s south coast. About 7.45pm Wednesday 16 April 2014, a 54-year-old man, and two women aged 50 and 19, were dining at their Bootie Street home when two men entered the house. The men went to the dining room and threatened them with a knife before demanding the trio get on the floor. Jewellery, documents and a small sum of money was stolen. The men then took the 54-year-old to his Audi where they drove around to a number of ATM’s in the area. They demanded the man access his accounts and withdrew varies amounts of cash. The man was forced into the boot of his vehicle and assaulted. The pair drove to another ATM at Shellharbour and then caught a taxi. The man managed to free himself from the boot and contacted police. As a result of the incident the victims received only minor injuries. A crime scene was established and investigations are continuing.
