Word of the day!!! I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Philippians 3:14 There are times in all of our lives when we feel like we have to press our way through some things. Life has a way of backing us in a corner and we do not know what to do. There are times when we feel like everything is pressing in on us at the same time, and everywhere we look there is another problem or issue we have to face. The truth of the matter is we do not want to face any of them, but if we do not face them we will not be able to move beyond where we are. It is essential that we do not allow the things that we are facing to keep us from the things that the Lord has for us, and the goals that we have set for ourselves in getting to the place that God has for us. The Scripture reminds us to, press towards the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. I encourage you today to keep pressing towards the mark for the prize that God has for you. Keep striving to get to the place that God has for you, and do not allow anything or anyone to stop or block you from getting to that place. Do not allow roadblocks to seem so insurmountable that you cannot get pass them, instead of being discouraged, press your way through. When the winds of life are blowing your way at hurricane force, do not retreat, but keep pressing towards the mark. When you feel like you are going through it all by yourself, keep pressing towards that mark. When you feel like you have more trials than triumphs keep pressing towards the mark for the prize that God has for you, because when you press your way through you will find that it was worth what you went through to get what God has for you. It will not be easy, but if you press your way through it, God will be with you, and He will keep you, and bless you with the prize He has for you with your name on it. Life has its challenges, but I will keep pressing towards the mark for the prize that God has just for me, and I cannot allow what I am facing to keep me from pressing through.
