World Citizen Artists (WCA) in partnership with Belgravia Gallery and Playing for Change Foundation, has opened a global art and music competition to promote peace in the run up to Christmas 2014. It is a key opportunity for emerging and established artists to exhibit their work at Belgravia Gallery, Mayfair, London - where the works of many notable names are exhibited, and to be featured by the renowned Playing for Change Foundation on their website and social media channels. Artists (paintings, sculpture and drawings) and musicians (songs) can apply at: wcacompetition/ The theme is: “Peace”. Winners will be announced on 5th December 2014. Winning painters and sculptors will be exhibited at the Belgravia Gallery from 11th December 2014 to 12th January 2015. Musician winners will be featured, along with a news story, on playingforchange.org and on social media channels. WCAs founder, Valerie Won Lee, said I am delighted to announce the opening of a competition that enables new and established artists alike to promote their work and the agenda of peace, at a time when this is needed more than ever. ABOUT World Citizen Artists was launched in June 2014 to harness the expressive power of art as a way of raising global awareness and responsibility. The movement comprises artists from more than twenty countries around the world and has an active online magazine accessible at worldcitizenartists.org. Playing for Change Foundation is a worldwide music foundation, operated in association with world-class musicians and producers, which assists children to learn music.
