In God, Guns Grits, and Gravy Huckabee argues for a return to the Constitutional principles and timeless values that made America the greatest nation on earth. He fears for what our country will become if we fail to change course in the very near future. Mike Huckabee wrote this book because he is seriously contemplating a run for the White House in 2016. Some of Mike Huckbees values are my values and some aint can not alwys get the whole hog . He really does believe in things like the Constitution, due process, the rule of law and free speech.As far as Mike Huckabee is concerned this certainly isnt the America that he grew up in. Common sense seems to be gone with the wind. Standards of decency, patriotism, religious freedom, the Second Amendment and respect for the other persons point of view have all come under increasing attack by progressives in what he refers to as Bubble-ville (New York, Los Angeles and Washington, DC). Why if you dare to give your child a well-deserved spanking then you might be labelled as some sort of Neanderthal. Parents are not supposed to have rules, expectations, consequences or a paddle. Rather, it is up to the village to raise your child. And God help you if you have the nerve to criticize our esteemed President for any reason. Why, you must be a racist! Mike Huckabee knows better. He has lived in fly-over country all of his life. He understands that the values embraced by the vast majority of the American people differ dramatically from the ones hyped by the politicians and their willing accomplices in Hollywood and in the mainstream media.
