YOU WOULD LOVE IT, BELIEVE YOU ME. As I was walking down along the road, I SPOTTED some children doing what I used to do when I was in the teens, in fact it was something I LOVED DOING, I remember squatting under crops just to shoot birds, isn’t that fun? I was DETERNINED TO AT LEAST get a BIRD each time I had that game, I wish you saw me those times shooting birds, believe me, you would have loved to watch- more than a play. Until that day I saw those children trying to kill a bird with their catapult, I never in those days realized that there’s something spectacular about this game ‘what are these guys doing?’ I asked , ‘maybe they are having fun’, ‘oh no they want to kill a bird’ I was chatting with my brain, the little Children kept me thinking as I walked pass them, before I lost sight of them, I saw them picked stones within a pace of 30 seconds, ‘why’ I asked myself, ‘couldn’t they have picked several STONES once?’ I asked again, ‘maybe they cannot shoot with SEVERAL STONES IN HAND’, well, that was my thought. ‘Ah what keeps them in the game even though they have not been able to kill a bird yet, or they had and they want more? Could it also be that they never had and they do not want to be intimidated by the birds?’ ‘So why do they keep on shooting at different birds at the same time even though they missed CONSISTENTLY’ all this while I never had an answer to the many questions yet , ‘maybe they had a reason behind that’ a thought here, ‘were they actually AIMING’ I asked, ‘maybe’, is it that the past generation of these birds did not inform them of what “Eneke the bird” in Things Fall Apart, the Popular Novel of Chinua Achebe said “…since men have learned to shoot without missing, he has learned to fly without perching” ? I asked myself, ‘mmmm maybe they were not told, or they don’t believe, or they are being DIFFICULT’ I had a task for my brain during that period. Awwwww sorry, I forgot to tell you what I am talking about, I really love catapulting. Yes, it is catapulting I am talking of. How long the stone could have travelled depended upon the force applied on the elastic and the PASSION and DESIRE put in by the shooter. I guess you expected more, right? MORAL LESSONS (Taken from the words in CAPS) 1.You are watched- people are looking at you, whether you will win or lose so… (SPOTTED) 2.Love what you do, until you love what you have created, no one will (LOVE DOING). 3.Be determined, never get intimidated or scared by what people say.(DETERMINATION) 4.Have an AIM, never go out like a hunter thinking of what he may get for the day, Have a goal. (BIRD). 5.Get other tools, ideas, strategize and the like in addition to your main Plan of attaining to aid you achieve that.(STONES) 6.Never have several unattainable goals at the same time, you should have smart, specific and realistic goals in mind at a specified time-frame, do not try to accompany your main plans with crooked plans that will keep you stranded on the way, that could thwart your dreams (SEVERAL STONES IN HAND) 7.Be consistent in your plans of action in attaining your goals, never quit because you are losing, you are almost there. (CONSITENTLY) 8.AIM HIGH in life, have a CLEAR and a compelling vision, never lose focus. (AIMING) 9.Don’t set goals that will scare you or make you often fear, but if fear, MASTER YOUR FEAR, MASTER COURAGE, YOU PROTECTOR IS RIGHT BY YOU. (DIFFICULT) 10.PASSION AND DESIRE, YES PASSION AND DESIRE, until you have passion for attaining your goal, you will never be successful, Robert Kiyosaki says “The size of your success is measured by the strength of your desire; the size of your dream and how you handled disappointments along the way” Hope you enjoyed it? LOL more to come… ~~~~Alung
