Yeah! Major Christmas shopping for 13 grandchildren is almost done. Its the thought that counts. One year I recall my grandfather gave the grandchildren bright shiny red apples. My dad had us take a look at the apples to see that the very best apples were purchased for us. I believe Grandpa was remembering the day when getting food on the table was more important than all the other stuff. I love the memory he gave to us. We got Sunkist oranges during another Christmas. Nowadays some children think if they dont get an ipad or some very expensive things then you havent done your duty to serve them. May God help people remember that it is a tragedy to have children grow up in a world where they believe everyone owes them something. I sincerely believe its important that children know that love is not wrapped up in a box.
